Braintree Payment integration Deprecation - February 29, 2024

The Braintree payment integration will be deprecated on February 29, 2024. To prevent any disruptions to your payment processing, please switch to one of the new payment integrations available on a compliance plan.

Braintree (a PayPal company ) announced they will be subsetting the version of Braintree integration on our older payment integration options with the EMF Pro and Premier Plans. Forms using the Braintree integration will not be able to process any payments after Feb 29, 2024. 

 

How will I be affected, if I do not take any action?

Before February 29, 2024

  • For the existing forms using Braintree payment integration, you will not be able to edit Braintree payment integration settings. Payments can still be processed until February 28, 2024.
  • Braintree will no longer provide further support, update or fix any issues related to this sunsetting integration  
  • EmailMeForm will also be deprecating the Braintree product offering at this time. You will need to select a new processor to replace Braintree. [See available Processor Options]

 

After February  29, 2024

  • The Braintree payment processor will not process payment with your form submission.
  • Should you wish to continue to collect payments, please update your form to a supported integration on our Compliance Plan. 


What are the new payment integrations that I can choose from?

  • Paypal checkout
  • Stripe Checkout
  • Square
  • Authorize.net Accept

What actions do I need to take?

  1. Choose a Payment Integration option offered under our Compliance Plan
    • Paypal checkout
    • Stripe Checkout
    • Square
    • Authorize.net Accept
  1. Set up an account with the new merchant provider and obtain the information such as API Keys/Access tokens etc. to upgrade the integration for your form.

  • Square Access token and Location ID, please click here.
  • Authorize.Net Accept API Login ID and Transaction Key, please click here.
  1. Update the payment settings on your existing form with Braintree payment integration. Follow the below steps:
    1. Login to your EmailMeForm account.
    2. Select the form with Braintree payment integration.
    3. Click on the payment tab.
    4. Click on the ‘Go to new interface’ button in the banner strip.
    5. Select a different payment integration from the left-hand side panel.
    6. Configure settings in the merchant setup.
    7. Save the settings.

 

Do I need to change plans?

If you are on one of our compliance plans, the supported replacement processor is already available on your plan. If you are currently on a (Form builder)  Pro or Premier Plan, you will need to upgrade to one of our compliance plans to access the new payment processors.
